Long Distance Moving Services
Reliable long distance moves out of Dayton and Cincinnati, handled by our own crews from the first box to the last.
Our long distance estimates lay out weight, mileage, and crew in plain terms, so no surprise charges appear once the truck is on the road.
One skilled crew handles your shipment from load to unload, padding and securing every piece for the miles instead of simply stacking it.
We commit to real load and delivery windows and hit them, so you can schedule your life around a date you can actually trust.

Yes. Dow Moving is registered with the federal motor carrier agency as an interstate household goods mover under USDOT number 3435844 and MC number 1397290. Those numbers let you look up our authority yourself before you book. For moves that stay within Ohio, we are also certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio under PUCO number 650224.
The main factors are the total weight or volume of your belongings, the distance between the two homes, and the crew and time needed at each end. Extras like packing, crating fragile pieces, or storage in between are added only if you ask for them. We build the inventory first so the estimate reflects what is actually going on the truck, and you approve it before we schedule anything.
As early as you reasonably can, especially for moves in summer or at the end of a month, since those dates fill fastest. Booking early gives us time to build an accurate inventory, lock in your load and delivery windows, and plan any packing or storage you need. If your timeline is tight, reach out anyway and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Keep anything you would need if your belongings arrived a day later than you do. That usually means medications, important documents like passports and closing papers, jewelry, laptops and chargers, and a few days of clothes and toiletries. Pets, plants, and anything flammable or hazardous also should not ride in the truck. Pack a separate essentials box for the first night in the new home.
You keep the same point of contact from the day we load until the day we unload, so you are not calling a national dispatch line and starting over with someone new. Before the truck leaves Dayton or Cincinnati we confirm your delivery window and the best way to reach you. If anything changes along the way, such as weather or a closed road, we let you know.
